Hey everyone!!! Hope you are all having an incredible Thanksgiving day so far. I am currently in Managua, Nicaragua, and the past week and a half since arriving in Nicaragua has been some of the busiest, yet also most refreshing days yet on the race. I will share everything we’ve been up to soon, but today I wanted to just highlight a few things I’m thankful for this year.

5 THINGS I’M THANKFUL FOR THIS HOLIDAY

  1. Our host celebrates thanksgiving! This is the first month where we have a host who actually is from America, so this means that we get to have a somewhat typical Thanksgiving meal today. We are so thankful that we get to be part of it. Also, our host is the COOLEST, and is like a walking wisdom machine, we have joked about just voice recording every thing she says because she is so wise and encouraging and I am so thankful that we are with her for the first half of our time in Nica.

I don’t have a picture of our host but I do have a picture of her 5 dogs that have become family this week! So glad to have puppos over the holiday season to love. 😀 This was them right after they all got baths.

  2. I’m thankful for my team. We have two weeks left together, and are determined to make it the best time. They have been my family here the last four months, and I am going to miss them as we switch teams soon.

Starting off each day in prayer as a a team

    3. I’m thankful for the ministries we have participated in this week. As I mentioned, I will share in more detail later, but we have gotten to go to a nursing home, 2 different feeding programs for kids, host two Beauty for Ashes events, and do street evangelism in a really cool community. It has been so fun to do so many different things every day, and what’s even more fun is seeing the Lord’s hand in ALL of it. He is moving all over this country.

Playing Twister with the kids from the feeding program 🙂

    4. I’m thankful that the Lord has provided a safe place for us this month, a place that has mattresses, filtered water in our room, and wifi (sometimes) so that I can talk to my family back home today! I am so thankful to have this space, and we are soaking up the week that we’re spending here!

Taking advantage of our space this week to write out verses in Spanish to hand out at the nursing home 🙂

    5. Last but not least, something I am EXTREMELY thankful for this holiday is…… I’M FULLY FUNDED!!!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!! I could not do this without you guys! I am thankful for EVERYONE who donated, who prayed, who made it possible. I am so thankful to not have to worry about fundraising anymore, and I can be fully present and focus on what the Lord has me here for. Thank you, EVERYONE.

Got to facetime my church this past sunday, just to find out that they were hosting a SURPRISE fundraiser bakesale for me!! Thanks to them and a few other donors (you know who you are) I became fully funded this day!

God is so good, and instead of dwelling on how far away I am from home and from my family this holiday, I would rather dwell on the goodness God has placed right here in front of me. So thank you, Jesus, for all of these things and more.

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving, and remember to give thanks to the One who created it all! <3
